Thomson Reuters invited Kalliolaw to contribute the Finland Chapter of the Practical Law – International Trade and Commercial Transactions Global Guide

Pekka Holopainen, Olli Oksman, Johanna Salonen and Tuomas Tiensuu authored the Finland chapters of the International Trade and Commercial Transactions Global Guide, a Q&A guide published by Thomson Reuters. You can access the resources for free from here and here.

The first part of the Q&A covers key matters relating to the regulation of international trade in Finland, including recent trends, trade agreements, trade negotiations, rules relating to the supply of services, imports and exports requirements, trade remedies, and international trade restrictions.

The second part of the Q&A covers key matters relating to sale of goods contracts, including legislative framework, rules on formation, price and payment, delivery, passing of title and risk, enforcement and remedies, exclusion of liability, choice of law and jurisdiction, and arbitration. It also provides an overview of the rules governing storage of goods.

Johanna Laine appointed as Specialist Counsel

Johanna Laine (Attorney-at-Law, Master of Laws) joined Kalliolaw in April 2017 and will focus on HR and employment relations, contracts and dispute resolution. Laine has versatile experience as an attorney in a law firm specialised in labour and employment matters and at a Finnish District Court. She has also held HR positions and worked as a translator in multinational bio and forest and precast concrete technology companies in France and Tunisia. In addition to her studies at the University of Turku, she has also studied at the University of Rouen in France.

Panu Skogström appointed as Partner at Kalliolaw

Attorney-at-Law, LL.M. Panu Skogström has been appointed as partner at Kalliolaw Asianajotoimisto Oy – Attorneys-at-Law as of 3 March 2017. Skogström specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, financing rounds as well as mining law.

Kalliolaw’s Johanna Salonen granted Legal Counsel license

LL.M., M.Soc.Sci Johanna Salonen has on 8 February 2017 been granted a license to serve as a licensed legal counsel. This strengthens the already prominent dispute resolution practise of Kalliolaw. Salonen is specialized especially in employment related disputes.
