Pekka Holopainen has been with Kalliolaw since 2010. Before joining the firm he worked for almost 15 years as general counsel and other in-house legal positions in various international companies in Finland as well as abroad. He has worked between 1990 and 1996 for law firms in Finland and in Germany. In addition to his Finnish LL.M. he holds an M.iur.comp. degree from the University of Bonn, Germany as well as an MBA from London Business School.
Holopainen has considerable experience from international and domestic agreements as well as from corporate governance. Mining law also forms a part of his expertise.
Positions of Trust
He holds positions of trust in several Boards of Directors of companies, associations and foundations. From the year 2011 until 2013, Holopainen was a member of the expert group on company law of the Finnish Bar Association.
Tiina Kekäläinen has worked at Kalliolaw for nearly ten years. Prior to joining Kalliolaw she worked for several years as Legal Counsel of an international ICT -company. Tiina is currently in charge of our Turku office. In addition to her master’s degree from Finland, Tiina has been awarded an LL.M. degree upon her completion of a post-graduate programme in International and Comparative Law in Brussels.
Tiina Kekäläinen is specialised in technology-related and other contractual matters of companies, as well as in assignments related to Intellectual Property Rights. She has, among other things, represented several technology companies in their contract negotiations.
Pekka Kiviniemi has been a member of Kalliolaw’s team since 2001. Prior to that he worked in the Ministry of Justice where he participated in the preparation of acts concerning the Internet. Kiviniemi advises Finnish and foreign SME’s and public sector entities in questions concerning electronic commerce and HR. Kiviniemi has written books and publications alone and together with others on the field of electronic commerce. Kiviniemi has also worked in a law firm in New York, USA. He is an appreciated coach in Finland and abroad on his fields of expertise.

Positions of Trust
He has been elected as a Board member of several companies (ICT, medical technology, internationalisation). Furthermore, he has acted as chairman of Aalto University’s information security programme.
Olli Oksman has been working for Kalliolaw since 2011. He is responsible for our London office. Before the opening of the London office he was seconded to a US law firm in London. In addition to his studies at the University of Helsinki, Oksman has studied at the University of Aberdeen in the United Kingdom.
Olli Oksman specialises in corporate finance transactions. He has been advising our clients in both domestic and international financing rounds, mergers and acquisitions and other similar transactions.
Johanna Salonen joined Kalliolaw at the beginning of 2014. Prior to joining the firm, she has gained experience as a trainee at several corporate law firms in Helsinki and at a global expert organisation in the United States. Salonen holds both a Master of Laws degree and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki.
Johanna Salonen focuses on Contracts, M&A, Finance and HR related questions.
Panu Skogström joined Kalliolaw in 2012. In addition to his studies at the University of Helsinki, he has also studied at the University of Aberystwyth in the United Kingdom.
Panu Skogström specialises mainly in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, finance, corporate advisory as well as mining related matters. He has been advising our clients in both domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financing rounds as well as numerous transactions among mining companies.
Tuomas Tiensuu joined Kalliolaw in August 2014. Prior to joining Kalliolaw, he has worked at a big Finnish law firm and at a district court, and also worked both as a collections and credit decision specialist at a major credit institution. In addition to his studies at the University of Helsinki, Tiensuu has studied at Wuhan University School of Law, located in the People’s Republic of China.

Heikki Väätäinen joined Kalliolaw in 2007. He has worked in sales and marketing since 1985. His wide work experience covers various business areas, from movie agency companies to publishing companies and ICT companies. Prior to joining Kalliolaw, he worked for an international database company.
Jukka Kallio is the founder of Kalliolaw Asianajotoimisto Oy. Before incorporating the firm in 2000, he was the CEO of a US-based law firm’s subsidiary in Finland.
Jukka has stepped out from the operational matters of the firm but he continues to cooperate with the firm in an of counsel role as an advisor to Kalliolaw’s management.
Soile Strandén joined Kalliolaw in 2006. She takes care of the day-to-day management of our company as an office manager. She graduated from HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences in 2008. Prior to joining Kalliolaw, she has worked at the Finnish Competition Authority.
Tiia Kulonen is working in the Kalliolaw office as an assistant. She has graduated from the Turku Vocational Institute in 2006 in Business and Administration. Tiia has a lot of working experience from different fields of work. She has worked with customer service and financial administration for the last seven years.
Nicole Taxis has been with Kalliolaw since 2013. She is working in the Kalliolaw office as an assistant. After college she completed a cabin crew training and worked as a cabin crew member for an international airline in London. She has many years of working experience in customer care, retail and office work in Finland and abroad. Before coming to work with Kalliolaw she worked as an assistant in the pharmaceutical industry.
Julia Vainonen is working at the Kalliolaw office as an assistant. She has graduated from the University of Applied Sciences as a Bachelor of Business Administration. Before joining Kalliolaw she worked in customer services and office services positions in a pharmaceutical company and in a company importing goods. She has many years of experience in different kinds of office work.
